Coming October 4, 2008 is Coastival Harvest Fest at the Weeping Radish Farm and Brewery in Currituck County. Coastival Harvest Fest celebrates with local food selections, family activities, performing music groups, prizes, and participation from nonprofits and disaster relief organizations/groups.

Charitable beneficiaries: a new Albemarle Region Disaster Relief Fund to support disaster relief efforts of two key regional service organizations: the Food Bank of the Albemarle and the Albemarle Red Cross Chapter; and two Community Funds, making annual grants to local organizations: the Currituck-Dare CF and the Northern Albemarle CF serving Camden, Gates, Pasquotank and Perquimans counties.
