8 Dot Graphics is a home-based design firm founded in 1999 by Sara Birkemeier and George Scott – a husband and wife team in Raleigh, North Carolina. Both graduated with honors from the NC State School of Design with bachelors in Graphic Design.

Sara grew up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina and attended the NC School of Science in Math in Durham, NC.

George grew up in Monroe, New Jersey. He spent a few years jumping out of planes in the 82nd Airborne and served in the Gulf War.

When they aren't glued to their computers, they can be found at the beach, in the woods or in the studio making things. Sara beads and sometimes sells her designs on Etsy and at events in Raleigh. George is an artist and has exhibited pieces in shows in Raleigh. He spent years racing in half and full Ironmans, is an avid endurance mountain biker and one test away from a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.
